Thirty six golfers took part in Wednesday evening’s Scramble. It started off in ideal golfing conditions but the rain came mid-round for most and put a bit of a dampener on proceedings.
The scoring was good despite the conditions.
Of particular note was the Gross score of 31 recorded by Mick Curran and Brendan O’Neill. For the record they had two 2s, two 3s, four 4s and a 5 on their card. This is the Best Gross to-date for 2019 and sets a stiff target to be beaten in the next couple of months.
In second place in this evening’s competition with a Nett score of 26.8 were Brian Walsh and Stuart O’Reilly.
The winners with a great score of 26.0 were the father and son combination of Brendan and Declan Cullen. This also sets a new stiff target for the best Nett for 2019.
Well done all round.
Same time (4 to 6pm) next Wednesday (26 June).
