There were 30 members on the course this evening - directly after the girls competing in the ILGU 2018 Leinster Girls Interclub Matchplay competition. At the end of today the 4 clubs through to tomorrow's semifinals and final were Mullingar, Donabate, County Louth and Grange.
Closer to home - at the end of the Scramble prize presentation - we witnessed the end of an 'epic' Tulfarris Club Doubles Match with Two-time winners of this title Steven Byrne and Paul Reid being 'pipped at the post' on the 18th green by Captains Prize winner Mick Curran and Tom Browne.
In the Scramble Catherine and Pat Edgeworth had a good Nett of 29.8 - but the addition of 1.0 for their previous win bumped them out of the prizes.
In 2nd place tonight with a Nett score of 30.0 were Les Broderick and Jack Murphy - a 'novel pairing' made up on the night.
A more regular pairing - Audrey and John Finnegan already had a 2nd place finish to their credit which added 0.5 to their Nett score tonight of 27.8 giving them a winning score of 28.3.
Congratulations to them all.
So back to the usual times of 4 to 6pm next Wednesday.
