Newsletter October 29th 2016

Dear Member

Winter League:

Winter League Singles and Doubles commences on the 5th/6th November. You will be automatically entered in the Singles competition but if you wish to participate in the Doubles each pair needs to get their names down on the Entry Sheet that is available on the Notice Board in the Golf Shop - before the first round starts. If you will not be in the pro-shop before the commencement of league, please email the competition secretary Eoin Curley( with the team. There is no separate entry fee for these competitions as they are covered in your annual levies.

For the doubles event please be reminded that each pair's score will be calculated by using the combination of their best individual scores in 50% of the rounds played, plus 1 round. There is no requirement for the pair’s scores to occur on the same weekend.

Based on feedback at last year’s AGM, we have developed a new winter league 14 hole scorecard with amended indexes and adjusted handicaps. The scorecard has gone to print and will be available next weekend.

October Bank Holiday Opens:

Tomorrow we have a Two Person Scramble from the White tees and on Monday a Singles Stableford from the Green tees. It is great to see such a full time sheet but there are still a few slots left if you want to play. Entry fees are 10 euro for Members and 20 euro for Visitors. Thanks to the Ladies Club for organising starters for the weekend.

Gold Medal

The medal of medals event took place last weekend and Pearce Daly won with a stunning 66. Congratulations Pearce.
