The Captain’s Charity
The Captain would like to sincerely thank all the members and guests who contributed so enthusiastically to such a great occasion on the 16th September. We hope everybody enjoyed the day and most importantly close to a staggering 8,000 euro was raised for the nominated charities.
Shemus will be presenting cheques to both Rett Syndrome Ireland and Alzheimer Society of Ireland in due course and we can be assured the monies will be gratefully received.

Golfer of the Year
Congratulations to Darryl Litton on his wonderful golf – he has been crowned Golfer of the Year 2018 despite some heavy competition from Tom McIntyre and Mick Curran over the last couple of months.

Lakeside Challenge 2018
Tulfarris will play Blessington Lakes in the annual Lakeside Challenge on the 10th November. This match comprises of 7 pairs playing 4BBB. The club will be represented by 3 gents in each handicap category (0-11, 12-18, 19-28) based on the final GOTY table and one Captain’s pick in each category). The Captain and Vice Captain also participate on the day. Captain Shemus is eager to end the year on a high and defend our title.

New rules in 2019
You may be aware by now that there will be a number of changes to the rules of golf in 2019. Rule books will be available in the pro shop but you may find the attached link useful as an overview of the changes. Remember it is each golfer’s responsibility to know the rules of golf.
