Despite the threatened rain (which thankfully did not materialise) there was a good turn out for this evenings scramble.
Scoring was good in a strong wind and in 2nd place were Noel Reilly and Corena Lavin Reilly (in her first ever scramble competition) with an excellent score of 28.8. Corena says that her prize will now take pride of place alongside her husband Mark's Captains Prize from 2009!
The first place team could boast of an eagle two on the par four 5th hole, which helped them with their gross 33 and a winning nett score of 27.6. Well done to Tom O'Rourke and Pat Curley. Pat, along with Noel A Kelly, is acting as Convenor for the Tulfarris Junior Members and this also was his first Wednesday Scramble.
Finally, we send our congratulations to Cuan McAogain and his wife on the recent birth of their son, Cuan Og. Perhaps that might also explain why Cuan did not make it among the prize winners this evening, although he and his partner, Cliff Anderson were not that far away.
Thanks to all those who attended and we look forward to seeing as many members as possible next week.
