Dear Member

The Captains Pearse and Ann have asked me to pass on their thanks to the Members for their support for their Captains Prize Competitions over recent weekends. They also want to formally record their appreciation of the excellent hospitality provided by the Resort for the event and for the really superb meal laid on last night. Their thanks are sent particularly to Resort General Manager, Mark Howell, Golf Shop Manager Norma Storey, Course Superintendent David Brady, Managers Derek, Robbie, Hanora and Lillian, and indeed to all the staff involved for their great work in making the golf and the "afters" such an enjoyable affair.

On a separate note the Tulfarris Committees have appointed a sub-committee under the chairmanship of Noel Reilly to produce a booklet about the past history of the Club as part of the 21st Anniversary celebrations. It is planned to have the booklet available for distribution to all members by the time of the AGMs in November. The sub committee wishes to involve members in the production of the booklet by coming forward with anecdotal stories of their experiences in Tulfarris "both good and bad!".

Members with interesting tales to tell should contact Noel Reilly at 086 2553530 or by email to noel_reilly@eircom.net. Alternatively they can contact the other members of the sub-commitee as follows: Ann Horan 087 24662100, Tom O'Shea 087 2656166, Madeleine Drew Byrne 086 8247044, Jim Corley 085 7203979.

Finally, just to remind you that we have three more Wednesday Scrambles on 17th, 24th and 31st August. We look forward to seeing as many members as possible between 5 and 6.30 p.m. on these evenings.

Regards,

John Horan,

Hon Secretary
