Dear Members,

We have just finished a busy weekend of Interclub matches involving no less than 29 Members playing, several others "Managing" and more supporting.

Provincial Towns

Tulfarris played their 2nd round match against Woodenbridge GC on Friday afternoon, with Woodenbridge having home advantage. The Tulfarris team was represented:

At HOME by:

Graham Curran, Dara Kennedy, Myles Burke and Mark Reilly.

AWAY by:

Darryl Litton, Mark Walshe, Jerry Lambe, Leonard Murphy and Fergal Quinn.

After a very strong performance by both the Home and Away teams, Tulfarris emerged with a victory by 5.5 to 3.5 and now take take their place in the 3rd round where they will meet the winners of Enniscorthy and St.Helen's Bay.

The Team Manager, Niall Robinson, would like to thank the panel for all their effort and commitment to date. Niall would also like to thank all members and panel members who came out to support the team in Tulfarris last Friday. The support was also greatly appreciated by the Home team players.

Pierce Purcell

The Club participated in the Pierce Purcell Regional Qualifying competition in Gowran Golf Club on Saturday.

The team was Captain Les Broderick and Pat McCartan, Kevin McDonald and Darren Ash, Greg Edwards and Brian Nolan, John McCarthy and Martin Cullen and Charlie McGee and Dave Reid. Regrettably Tulfarris did not "make the cut" on this occasion with four Clubs going through to this morning's Regional Semi Finals - Waterford, Borris, Carlow and the host club Gowran. Team Manager Shemus Dore thanked the team and other panel members for their efforts in preparing for the day and also thanked Mark Reilly for his assistance in Gowran.

Hard luck guys and on behalf of the Club thanks to Shemus, Mark and all the players.

Brennan Cup

This afternoon Tulfarris made their first outing in the 2014 Brennan Cup against Blainroe, with home advantage - all matches were played in Tulfarris.

The team was Stephen Cullen and Eoin Curley, Liam O'Loughlin and Steven Byrne, Brendan Daly and Pat Mahon, Mick Curran and John Curley and Ciaran Curley and Phelim Dolan.

The result was an impressive 3/1 win with Tulfarris ahead also in the other match when called in playing the 17th. Well done to the players and to Team Manager Brendan Daly and his assistants Paul Fitzpatrick and Mick Curran and best wishes to them in the next round - at home again - against Greystones on a date to be agreed.

All in all a successful weekend for Tulfarris in some tough Interclub contests. Well done.
