Newsletter March 10th 2016

Dear Members,

Some updates for you to digest today.

Captains’ Drive – In

The official start to the golfing season takes place this Sunday in what promises to be a dry, sunny and mild day which will make for a lovely change.

The BRS system is live and will close at 2 pm Saturday to allow the draw for teams to take place.

Registration Sunday starts from 8 am in Adrian’s bar. We would appreciate if everyone could register by 08.45 so that we can commence the scramble promptly at 0930. Hot Lunch will follow the golf in the hotel at approx.3pm.

Lindsay, Kieron and their committees look forward to seeing you there on Sunday.

BRS purse system:

As in previous years, any unused BRS credit expired on 29th February 2016.

Members will now need to put credit into their BRS purse in order to be able to enter competitions via the BRS system. Like last year, this can be done through Norma in the Golf Shop (045 867609) with a cash lodgement or via credit card. You can pay for all of your regular weekly competition levies (excluding Scrambles and Majors) in one amount of €120 or in lesser amounts as you wish. A minimum of €10 will be needed in your BRS purse at all times in order to enter a regular weekly competition via the BRS system.

Please bear this information in mind when booking for the Singles Stableford competition on 19th/20th March 2016.

Garden County:

Liam O’Loughlin’s charges are in with a fighting chance of making the Garden County Final. We need a good win Saturday against Lisheen so all support would be most welcome. Tee times from 08.30 in Tulfarris and from 12.50 in Lisheen Springs

Bank Holiday Opens:

Just a reminder that the Easter program consists of an open singles on Sunday 27th March and a 4BBB on Monday 28th March. We would like to encourage all members to share this information with friends, colleagues etc.

Kind Regards

Shemus Dore
