Dear Members,

Wednesday Social Scramble

Another lovely evening for golf and with some good scoring too. There were no less than 6 pairs with scores better than 29.0.

In 2nd place were Lady Captain Maria Carvill and President Niall Robinson with a score of 27.9. Catherine Edgeworth was in the "winners enclosure" a few weeks ago and she repeated her performance tonight with a different partner, Tom O' Shea. Together they had an excellent score of 25.8. Congratulations to them.

Interclub Fundraiser

Next Wednesday we will not have the usual Wednesday Social Scramble, instead we will have an 18 Hole Semi-Open Champagne Scramble. There are still tee times available on BRS and the cost per team of four is

€50 for a line with at least one Member on it.

The competition format will be the usual Scramble for the Drive where all four players move to the best position, but from there on all four players finish out each hole with their own ball. The best two scores to count on each hole. This is a good opportunity to show off your course to your friends and golfing colleagues.

New Score Cards

New Score Cards are now in use with revised indices for both the Men and Ladies. Keep an eye out for these the next time you play. A particular change to the cards is the inclusion of two new boxes in which you should include your Start and Finish times for your rounds.

It is hoped that this will increase Member 's awarenessof the importance of avoiding Slow Play.

Cullen Cup

Best of luck to the Cullen Cup Gents and Ladies Mixed team who travel to Woodenbridge for their next round match on Sunday afternoon.

Presidents Prize

On Sunday 20th we play for President Niall Robinson's prize. As usual this will be a Shotgun start at 9.30 and the golf will be followed by a light lunch and presentation of prizes. Entry fee for this competition will be €10 payable on the morning.
