The committee have decided to reschedule the September medal to the 26th/27th September owing to the club’s participation in the South Leinster semi-final/final in Carlow.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Provisionally, a V Par competition will be held on the 12th/13th September.
Ciaran Curley’s Captain’s Prize:
The BRS booking system goes live on Saturday 8th August at8 am.
As previously mentioned, deadline for entry is 2 pm Friday 14th August. Members are advised to check their actual pairings and tee times via BRS on Saturday 15th August. The entry fee for the competition is €20 (Juniors €10) payable to the starter on Day 1 (16th August) .
Play will be in reverse order on Day 2 (Saturday 22nd August), with the leaders going out at approximately 1.30 pm. If by any chance you are unable to play in the second round, please advise the starter on Day 1 so that the draw is not disrupted for those playing on Day 2. Similarly, if you are unable to play in Round 1 and wish to play in Round 2 please let us know in advance so that your name can be included for Day 2.
As a reminder, It should be noted that to be eligible to win 1st Prize, there are requirements such as having played in 3 eighteen hole competitions in 2015, and as passed by members at the AGM in 2011 - '' A person must have been an Ordinary Member of the club for at least a period of one year in the previous three years before being eligible to win the Captains or Presidents Prizes or the overall Golfer of the Year Award". Members who have joined the club in 2015 are eligible to win every other prize, apart from 1st place.
Tickets for the captain’s dinner on Saturday 22nd August (35 euro) are on sale in the pro shop this weekend and on day 1 and day 2 of the competition. Both captain's hope to see many of you there for what promises to be a great night of fun and celebration.
For those of you intending to stay in the hotel on the 22nd , I have been advised that there only 6/7 rooms remaining so please call the hotel if you are interested.

I would like to make a correction to eligibility information previously shared.
Juniors with handicaps of 18 or lower are entitled to win any prizes in men's competitions with the exception of the top prizes in GOY events. Points are also not awarded to juniors in the golfer of the year competition.
