Well done to all the winners in particular Lady President Maria and Phelim who produced exceptional scores over the 2 days. Both Maria and Phelim are now eligible to represent the club in the All Ireland Captains' prize winners competition held in Roscrea Golf Club. Many thanks to you Mary and Ciaran for all your hard work this year and for the enthusiasm you have shown in making this a very warm and welcoming club to all.

Phelim kindly expressed some additional thoughts earlier this week which are shared below:

" On reflection there was so much to take in on the day that I wanted to thank some people formally.

To the committee, thank you for your continued efforts and improvements in how the club is run and how we collaborate with the resort.

To the members (past, present, male and female); I received so many kinds words, messages and phone calls yesterday and today its simply humbling but once again shows what a great club we have so thanks to you all. I also had a great night with so many of you, some sore heads for sure the following day but worth it!

Finally and most importantly, El Capitán. Its a great honor to win a captains prize in any club so its a signification honor for me to win the prize when the captain is my playing partner in club and inter-club; a true gentleman in every way and a valued friend! Thanks to you Ciaran and of course to Caroline, Ethan and the wonderful Ella for supporting you through your year.

I look forward to defending the prize in Kieron's year but realise the challenge will be tougher with all the good golfers and friends who joined us this year from Rathsallagh and other clubs :) “

Kind Regards

Shemus Dore
